Lock In - 02/01/2002

From 8:00pm Friday night to 8:00am Saturday morning, Birdwell Lane church of Christ hosted a youth lock-in which 32 area youth attended.
The theme of the night was "Faith." There were several games, learning activities, songs and group studies during the night (for those that stayed awake) concerning faith.
There was lots of food and fellowship, from the pizzas at 9:00pm, to the hot dogs at 2:30am, to the breakfast burritos at 7:00am.
We would like to thank the area parents and churches that got their youth to the lock-in and we hope that it had a positive influence on the life of your child(ren).
We would also like to thank the parents, youth directors and volunteers who came in to cook, direct the activities and help keep everything going smoothly.

During the night, there were several activities for the entire group, before they broke up into smaller groups of 4 to 6 for more in-depth discussion of what was talked about earlier.

Hackey Sack was one of the activities during the night, both to keep people's blood pumping, and to show how the difficulty of doing something increases along with the number of people in the group.

More Hackey Sack.

Still more Hackey Sack.

About 7:30 Saturday morning at the final group session.

The youth wrote down things that hinder their faith and nailed (thumbtacked) them to the cross.
