CAMPAIGN PREPARATION Our “Back to the Bible Campaign” is literally just one month away. I have been thrilled by the involvement of so many in taking up positions of service. The excitement level is building and the work is bustling. The ladies have the meal menus planned and lists for help will soon be posted. The baby sitting list is being handled and a schedule put together. The list for drivers which will be picking up those who want to come to the building for studies is in the process of being filled out. Those who will be working in keeping the building clean during the week are being contacted. Jack is getting together the list for those who will be taking care of the vans for the week. The phones needed by the crew from Lawton have been selected and will be programmed prior to their arrival. Culligan Water Works has donated all the water and ice which will be needed for the entire week. We will be having classes each Wednesday night from now until the sixth of June to prepare all of us for what is going to be happening, how each committee will function and getting prepared for door-knocking and holding studies. What an exciting time for Birdwell Lane. YOU, the congregation are busy and becoming more and more involved in the work of making this effort a huge success. You all are to be commended for the effort which you are putting out. We have a group that has signed up to knock doors or be silent partners in the actual door-knocking and process of holding studies. There is no way the campaign cannot be a success with everyone working as you are. Thanks, for allowing me to be a part of this effort with you. See ya Sunday, Ralph |

CAMPAIGN PROGRESS WOW! Our Back to the Bible campaign is fast coming upon us. In just three weeks we will be snowed under with campaign workers, meals and Bible studies. It is an exciting time here at Birdwell Lane. Pray, pray, pray that the campaign will be a great success and then after praying do all that you can do to make it so. Folks are really busy at this point getting all the committees lined up and folks signed up to help in different areas. Jack Stovall will be taking care of the vans and the drivers who will be picking up folks coming to the building to study. Dorthy Stovall has the meals planned and along with Bobby Burchett and Debra Thompson have lists out for you ladies to sign to help in food preparation. John Spence is organizing the Friday evening fellowship with the Lawton Brothers and Sister coming to help in the campaign. This will be a time for meeting and getting to know our brethren better. Dannie Greene is working on getting the baby sitting schedule set up. "Zeke" is preparing lessons for our Spanish brethren and conducting Wednesday evening classes to help them know what areas they can best work in during the campaign. Others are speaking with local business men about purchasing the huge number of supplies in food and drink that will be needed to feed over a hundred twice a day during the week. Others have signed on to door knock, be silent partners, help around the building and just be gofers for the week. Robert Greene will be in charge of the building cleanup and equipment for the week and he will need a bunch of help. You can see that it is going to be busy, busy, busy around here for the week of June 6 -12th. Your help will be needed and appreciated. Sign on the dotted line in the area of service you feel you can be the most helpful. Let's all do our part to make this a great campaign and glorify our Great God. See ya Sunday, Ralph |

ASK YOURSELF SERIOUSLY Does my life please God? Am I studying the Bible daily? Am I enjoying my Christian life? Have I ever won a soul to Christ? How much time do I spend in prayer? Am I trying to bring my friends to Christ? Am I really giving as the Lord has prospered me? How does my life look to those who are not members of the church? How many things do I put before Christ? Where am I making my worst mistake? Is the world being made better by my living in it? Good questions for self examination. They tell me exactly how I am doing in my Christian walk. They will keep me from backsliding when answered honestly. All should be interested in the things which will prevent it.
